Organizing Tip – Paperclips

My favorite and most commonly used methods for benefiting from paperclips are:

  • As a bookmark. Because of the tight grip, I never have to worry about the clip falling off, causing me to lose my place. One downside will be the temporary dent that may be left on a few pages.
  • Fort sorting documents. Group related documents together that are related but not related enough to be bound by a staple. For example, two documents related to the same client, but one is specific to their business, while the other is regarding their personal history.
  • To indicate priority. Why stick to only using the standard silver clips? Switch it up by placing red on important or rush paperwork, and softer toned colors on things that can wait.
